The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas
for...
southwestern Anderson County in east Tennessee...
Knox County in east Tennessee...
northeastern Roane County in east Tennessee...

* until 845 am EDT

* at 647 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas
will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch
of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Alcoa, Farragut, Oliver Springs,
Louisville, Lake Forest, Bearden, Powell, Karns and Kimberlin
Heights.

Additional rainfall of up to one inch may be expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
