* what... freezing rain with up to one-tenth of an inch build-up.
* Where... extreme upper northeast Tennessee and parts of
southwest Virginia, northeast of the Tri-Cities Metro area.
* When... late tonight through mid-morning Thursday.
* Additional details... the ground is warm, so ice build-up
should be restricted to elevated surfaces. Also, some bridges
and overpasses could become slick. Isolated problems with
snapping tree limbs and isolated power outages area possible
in these areas.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of sleet, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
Allow time Thursday morning to deal with any ice on your vehicle
and be very cautious when approaching bridges and overpasses.
