Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:31 PM CST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until midnight CST
tonight...

* timing... expect occasional light snow to continue through this
evening before diminishing.

* Snow accumulations... up to an inch of additional snow is
possible.

* Winds / visibility... sustained northwest winds of 25 to 40 mph
with gusts to 50 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting
snow. Areas of poor visibility below one quarter mile in
blowing snow are expected.

* Impacts... near blizzard conditions in blowing and falling snow
will reduce visibility and create hazardous driving conditions.
Don't overdrive the conditions! Slow down and give yourself
extra time to reach your destination if travel is necessary
tonight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
