This includes the cities of Connellsville, Davis, Fairmont,
Greensburg, Latrobe, Masontown, Morgantown, Murrysville,
New Kensington, Parsons, Thomas, Uniontown, and Waynesburg.




Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 6:23 PM EDT Jun. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 830 PM EDT for
southeastern Greene and central Fayette counties...

At 620 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding
throughout the warning area. Up to three inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Uniontown, Connellsville, Waynesburg, Masontown, South Connellsville,
Fairdale, Jefferson boro, Isabella, Dunbar, Rogersville, Everson and
Republic.

Additional rainfall amounts up to two inches are possible in the
warned area.

This includes Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 4
and 15.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 am EDT Saturday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maryland, east central Ohio, southwestern Pennsylvania,
and northern West Virginia.

* Until 2 am EDT Saturday

* rainfall amounts up to 2.5 inches are possible due to the
remnants of Cindy and an approaching cold front. Rainfall
amounts could be upwards of 4 inches if a location experiences
a series of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

* Flooded roads along with streams and creeks out of their banks
are likely where the heaviest rainfall occurs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
