... High surf advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening...

* waves and surf... breaker heights will be 20 to 23 feet.

* Locations... all southern Oregon beaches.

* Impacts... wave runup on beaches will be much higher than
normal. Stay off the jetties. Bar crossings... jetties and the
surf zone will be especially dangerous due to strong currents
and breaking wave action. Use extra caution along and near the
coast during this time period and never turn your back to the
ocean.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.

evening...
... Small Craft Advisory for hazardous seas remains in effect from
10 PM this evening to 10 am PST Tuesday...

* winds... southeast 20 to 30 kt becoming east and diminishing
this evening.

* Seas... 17 to 22 feet through this evening... subsiding to 11 to
14 feet Tuesday morning... then below 10 feet by Tuesday
afternoon.

* Areas affected and timing... Small Craft Advisory winds will
affect most areas through this evening except lower winds
within 10 nm from shore north of Bandon. Very steep warning
level seas will impact all areas through Monday evening. Small
Craft Advisory seas will affect all areas Monday night into
Tuesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A hazardous seas warning means very steep and hazardous sea
conditions are imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should
remain in port... or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial
vessels should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in
port or taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.

A Small Craft Advisory for hazardous seas means that waves will
be steep enough to create a potential hazard to smaller vessels
and inexperienced mariners.
