... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11 am Thursday to 4 am
PST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 11 am Thursday to 4 am PST Friday.

* Locations... Cove... Elgin... La Grande.

* Ice accumulations... little or no ice accumulation expected.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... light snow will develop Thursday morning then increase
in intensity during the afternoon. Blowing and drifting snow is
also likely... which will greatly reduce visibility at times.


* Impacts... area roadways will be snow covered and slick. Blowing
and drifting snow could significantly impact travel on
Interstate 84 near and south of La Grande.

* Winds... south 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower to mid 20s.
