The Flood Warning continues for
the South Fork Coquille river at Myrtle Point.
* From this morning to this evening.
* At 1:15 am Thursday the stage was 28.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast. The river is forecast to rise above
flood stage this morning to a peak of 33.2 feet then fall below
flood stage this afternoon.
* Impact... at 33.0 feet... the South Fork Coquille river is at flood
stage. Expect flooding of roads west of the Spruce street bridge
and significant pasture and agricultural land flooding.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 33.0 feet
on Dec 18 2015.

the Coquille river at Coquille.
* From this afternoon to Friday afternoon.
* At 1:30 am Thursday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast. The river is forecast to rise above
flood stage this afternoon and peak at 21.1 feet then remain above
flood stage into early Friday morning.
* Impact... at 21.0 feet... the Coquille river is at flood stage. Expect
flooding of farmland and low-lying areas throughout the flood plain
along the Coquille river.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 21.7 feet
on Mar 15 2016.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Rogue River near Agness.
* Until late tonight.
* At 1:30 am Thursday the stage was 17.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
The river is forecast to peak early this morning at 18.3 feet
then fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
* Impact... at 17.0 feet... river rises to this stage or above may
affect recreation interests along the Rogue River at and below
Agness, Oregon. Sudden river rises of a few feet may also affect
home and business owners with boat docks on the river.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 17.7 feet
on Dec 14 2015.

High Surf Advisory
Issued: 4:23 AM PST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High surf advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM
PST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM
PST Friday.

* Waves and surf... breaker heights of 22 to 25 feet are expected.
Highest breakers will occur on west facing beaches. Higher
breakers are likely to follow Friday night into Saturday and may
reach a peak around 35 feet early Saturday.

* Impacts... wave runup on beaches will be much higher than
normal. Jetties and the surf zone will be especially dangerous
due to strong breaking wave action. Use extra caution along
and near the coast during this time period and never turn your
back to the ocean.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
