The Flood Warning continues for
the John Day river at Service Creek.
* Until Monday April 29... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1:30 PM Saturday, the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and
continue to rise to near 14.6 feet by Monday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Monday morning.

PDT Sunday for southern Morrow... Wheeler... northeastern Crook...
Umatilla... Union... Wallowa... southeastern Gilliam... Grant...
southeastern Walla Walla and southern Columbia counties...

High water levels will continue overnight on creeks and streams
draining the mountains, as water from the recent rain works its way
downstream. Continue to heed any Road closures and be alert for rock
slides in steep and rocky terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Flood stage is 11.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday afternoon and continue
to rise to near 12.6 feet by Sunday morning. The river will fall
below flood stage by Monday before midnight.
