A tropical disturbance pushing toward the Bahamas, is expected to develop into a tropical depression or storm, and will likely target Florida and the Gulf Coast this weekend into next week.

Right now, the disturbance remains a broad area of low pressure pushing through the Dominican Republic and Haiti, headed toward the southeast Bahamas. Rainfall totals over 3 inches (with locally higher amounts) are expected in HispaƱiola, particularly over elevated terrain.

* Flood Advisory for...
central Logan County in central Oklahoma...
southwestern Payne County in central Oklahoma...

* until 1145 PM CDT

* at 839 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to 1.5 inches of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Guthrie... Langston... Coyle... Cedar Valley... Mulhall...
Cimarron City... Seward and Navina.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and
underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Turn around... don't drown.
