The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Oklahoma...
northeast Oklahoma and southeast Oklahoma... including the
following counties... in east central Oklahoma... Cherokee...
Muskogee and Okfuskee. In northeast Oklahoma... Craig... creek...
   Delaware... Mayes... Nowata... Okmulgee... Osage... Ottawa...
Pawnee... Rogers... Tulsa... Wagoner and Washington OK. In
southeast Oklahoma... McIntosh and Pittsburg.

* Until 7 am CDT Sunday

* thunderstorm complexes across western and southwest Oklahoma
will track east overnight into eastern Oklahoma. An inch or
two of rainfall will be possible in some locations, along with
locally higher amounts.

* Given the moist soil conditions from previous rains this month,
rapid onset flash flooding will be likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means rapidly rising water or flooding is
possible within the watch area.

If you are in the watch area, keep informed, and be ready for
quick action if flash flooding is observed or if a warning is
issued.
