The Winter Weather Advisory will expire at 11 am MST this
morning.

Snow showers will continue through the afternoon... but snow
accumulations will be light.




High Wind Warning
Issued: 3:52 AM MST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High Wind Warning in effect from 11 am this morning to 5 am
MST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a High
Wind Warning... which is in effect from 11 am this morning to 5 am
MST Sunday.

* Location... this includes the Sandia and Manzano
Mountains... central and south Central Highlands as well as
Guadalupe... De Baca... Chaves and eastern Lincoln counties.

* Winds... west to northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph this
afternoon... increasing to 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph
this evening.

* Timing... winds will increase by late morning... and peak this
evening before diminishing toward sunrise.

* Visibility... local reductions in visibility are possible in
blowing snow across the Sandia and Manzano Mountains.

* Local impacts... strong cross winds are expected on north to
south oriented roadways including Highway 285 between Clines
Corners and Roswell. Loose and lightweight objects may become
lofted. Downed tree limbs and powerlines are also possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remember... a High Wind Warning means damaging winds are imminent
or highly likely. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or
gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
