... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am MST
Saturday...

* what... heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches,
except 10 to 20 inches above 7500 feet. Locally higher amounts
are possible along the highest peaks near the Colorado border.

* Where... northwest plateau, Chuska Mountains, far northwest
Highlands and San Juan Mountains.

* When... through 5 am MST Saturday.

* Additional details... travel will be very difficult to
impossible. This morning's commute could be especially
hazardous due to snowpacked and icy roadways. Periods of reduced
visibility are likely in falling snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
