... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT Wednesday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Iowa and Nebraska, including the
following areas, in southwest Iowa, Fremont, Harrison, Mills,
Montgomery, Pottawattamie, and Shelby. In Nebraska, Cass,
Dodge, Douglas, gage, Jefferson, Lancaster, Otoe, Saline,
Sarpy, Saunders, Seward, and Washington.

* Until 7 am CDT Wednesday

* a frontal boundary remains in the area this evening from central
Iowa into southeast Nebraska. This boundary will continue to
provide a focus for thunderstorms to move along as they spread
into the area tonight.

* Heavy rain has already resulted in flooding this evening from
around Lincoln south toward Fairbury near the Kansas border.
Reports of 5 to 7 inches of rain have been received from
southwest Jefferson County around Reynolds where widespread
flash flooding has been reported.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
