Areal Flood Watch

... Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, including
the following areas, in western Nebraska, Banner, Box Butte,
Dawes, Kimball, North Sioux, Scotts Bluff, and south Sioux. In
southeast Wyoming, east Laramie County and Goshen County.

* Until 6 PM MDT this evening

* periods of moderate to heavy rain are likely to continue this
morning before ending this afternoon.

* Snowmelt over the last few days has already caused some
rivers, creeks and streams to swell. Any additional rainfall
may lead to new flooding or complicate existing concerns.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
