The Flood Warning continues for
the Elkhorn river in Holt County.
* Until Tuesday morning.
* At 6:45 PM Sunday the stage was 8.8 feet at Ewing.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to remain near flood stage through
Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Monday late
morning into early afternoon and will then continue to fall over the
next several days.
* Impact... at 9.0 feet... minor flooding can be expected as the Elkhorn
river overflows into nearby agricultural land and low lying areas.

* Flood Warning for...
Rock County in north central Nebraska...
Brown County in north central Nebraska...
Holt County in north central Nebraska...
Keya Paha County in north central Nebraska...
Boyd County in north central Nebraska...
* until 1215 PM CDT Monday.
* Many roads still have water over them across the area. Streams and
rivers, including the Elkhorn, are bankfull or spilling out of
there banks into nearby areas. The water should slowly start to
recede the first of this week.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ainsworth, Bassett, Spencer, Springview, O'Neill, Atkinson,
Stuart, Ewing, Butte, Long Pine, Chambers, Lynch, Page, Newport,
Naper, Johnstown, gross, rose and Amelia.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 183 between mile markers 149 and 225.
Highway 20 between mile markers 225 and 328.
Highway 281 between mile markers 158 and 223.
Highway 12 between mile markers 23 and 135.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
