Issued: 4:14 AM EDT Apr. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* flood advisory for...
Cabarrus County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* until 815 am EDT

* at 410 am EDT, local law enforcement reported minor flooding was
still ongoing due to earlier heavy rain across the County. Three
to four inches of rainfall have fallen in the past 24 hours,
causing numerous Road closures. Additionally, numerous Road
closures due to flooding have been reported near the Rocky River.
The river gage there above the irish Buffalo Creek was in minor
flooding, but levels are slowly falling.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
downtown Concord, West Concord, Harrisburg, Mt pleasant, Midland,
Charlotte motor Speedway and Kannapolis.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads.
Turn around, dont drown.

or landslides to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
