... Flood Watch in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday
morning...

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of central Montana, including the
following area, Fergus.

* From Thursday afternoon through Friday morning

* showers and slow moving thunderstorms may bring moderate to
heavy rain Thursday afternoon through Thursday night. This
potential for heavy rain over already saturated grounds may
bring more flooding and some flash flooding.

* In addition... high flows going into the Missouri River may
bring increased river levels and possible minor to moderate
flooding through the weekend... especially in the Landusky area.

* Those near rivers and streams should prepare for continued
flooding. Flash flooding will also be possible. Never drive
through a flooded Road. Those recreating near and on the
Missouri River should stay away during high water flows... Camp
away from the river and on higher grounds... or consider delaying
outdoor plans.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
