The National Weather Service in Glasgow has extended the

* Flood Warning for small streams for...
snowmelt in...
east central Phillips County in northeastern Montana...
west Central Valley County in northeastern Montana...

* until 245 PM MDT Saturday.

* At 1034 PM MDT, reporting gauges indicate flooding on Beaver Creek
due to snow melt. The gage west of Hinsdale has risen to 16.95
feet at 1030pm MDT. Ice jams are also possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Saco and Hinsdale.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northeast Montana, including the following areas,
central and southeast Phillips, central and southern valley,
Daniels, northern Phillips, and northern valley.

* Through Monday afternoon

* continued ice jam and snowmelt is leading to Rising River and
stream levels across much of the region.

* Flooding of the milk river and streams that drain into it will
be possible through at least Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 11 am MDT this
morning...

* visibilities... as low as 1/4 of a mile, especially in valley
locations.

* Timing... until 11 am this morning.

* Impacts... reduced visibilities will make travel difficult at
times this morning. Some roads will be icy due to below freezing
temperatures.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile.

If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, provide
extra time to reach your destination, and leave plenty of
distance between yourself and vehicle in front of you.
