* Flood Warning for...
south central Broadwater County in southwestern Montana...
northern Madison County in southwestern Montana...
southeastern Jefferson County in southwestern Montana...
northwestern Gallatin County in south central Montana...

* until further notice.

* A Flood Warning for minor flooding is in effect for locations near
the Jefferson river until further notice, from Whitehall to
Trident.

Minor flood stage on the Jefferson river is 8 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Montana and southwest Montana, including
the following areas, in central Montana, Judith Basin and
Meagher. In southwest Montana, Beaverhead, Broadwater,
Gallatin, Jefferson, and Madison.

* Through Friday morning

* showers and slow moving thunderstorms may bring moderate to
heavy rain this afternoon through tonight. This potential for
heavy rain over already saturated grounds may bring more
flooding and some flash flooding.

* Those near rivers and streams should prepare for continued
flooding. Flash flooding will also be possible.
