* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
central Montgomery County in east central Missouri...
central Warren County in east central Missouri...
northern Gasconade County in east central Missouri...

* until 130 am CDT.

* At 1232 am CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Chamois,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Warrenton, Wright City, Hermann, New Florence, Jonesburg,
Truesdale, Bellflower, Big Spring, Mineola, Foristell, Gasconade,
High Hill, Rhineland, Morrison, McKittrick, Danville and Americus.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 170 and 200.

This also includes deutschheim historic site and Graham Cave State
Park.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 am CDT for east central

The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Hermann
* until further notice.
* At 8:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 28.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to crest near 34.4 feet by early Saturday
morning.
* Impact: at 34.5 feet... near this height, Missouri State Highway 94
between Rhineland and State Highway 19 will be closed in both
directions.
* Impact: at 34.3 feet... Missouri State Highway 94 between Route b
and Route N will be closed near this height.
* Impact: at 34.2 feet... the picnic shelter and restrooms at the
Hermann Riverfront Park begin flooding near this height.
* Impact: at 34.1 feet... Missouri State Highway 100 in Hermann
between State Route 19 and Washington street will be closed near
this height.
* Impact: at 34.0 feet... Union Pacific Railroad tracks flood. The
tri-County levee section two between McKittrick and Gore will
overtop near this height.
* Impact: at 33.6 feet... near this height, Missouri State Highway 100
will be closed in both directions east of Hermann.
* Impact: at 33.0 feet... the tri-County levee district section one
protecting the area south of Rhineland, including the Hermann
Airport, is overtopped near this level.
* Impact: at 32.5 feet... Hermann Ford and a vacant grocery store on
6th street begin flooding near this level.
* Impact: at 32.3 feet... Market street (highway 19) begins flooding
near the bridge over frene creek.
* Impact: at 32.0 feet... a hermannhof winery storage shelter begins
flooding on the east side of frene creek.
* Impact: at 31.5 feet... just northeast of Morrison, the Morrison
lower levee is overtopped near this height. Also, the restrooms at
the Hermann city campgrounds and a car wash on gutenberg Road begin
flooding near this height.
* Impact: at 31.0 feet... Hermann farm stable and wagon works and the
city amphitheater grounds begin flooding near this height.
* Impact: at 30.8 feet... near this height, Missouri State Highway 94
between Missouri Highway 19 and Route b will be closed in both
directions.
* Impact: at 30.0 feet... gutenberg Road begins flooding near this
height.
* Impact: at 29.2 feet... Missouri Route 94 is closed between Treloar
and pickney near this height.

the Missouri River at Gasconade
* until further notice.
* At 11:30 am Wednesday the stage was 30.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to crest near 35.2 feet by early Saturday
morning.
* Impact: at 35.5 feet... a house at the end of Oak street in
Gasconade begins flooding at the base of the Concrete foundation.
* Impact: at 34.8 feet... the corps of engineers Gasconade Harbor
facility boatyard area begins to flood.
* Impact: at 33.0 feet... the diermann levee about 4 miles upstream of
Gasconade will overtop near this height.
* Impact: at 32.5 feet... Highway 100 between Morrison and State Route
z begins flooding near this level.
* Impact: at 32.0 feet... the east end of Oak street in Gasconade
begins flooding near this level.

* thunderstorms are expected to become numerous over central
Missouri tonight. These thunderstorms will produce very heavy
rainfall over ground that is already saturated which could
produce flash flooding.

* Heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying or poor
drainage areas... and ultimately dangerous flash flooding on
smaller creeks and streams. Significant rises on larger
streams and rivers will also be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch is advanced notice that conditions are
favorable that may lead to flash flooding. People in the watch
area, especially in flood prone areas, should use this time to
make preparations just in case. Stay informed, and be ready for
quick action if flooding is observed or if a Flash Flood Warning
