The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Isabella County in central Michigan...
Mecosta County in central Michigan...
northern Montcalm County in central Michigan...

* until 1130 am EDT Friday

* due to the additional rainfall early this morning of up to two
inches, the Flood Warning has been extended through 1130 am. Local
law enforcement reported flooding in Mount Pleasant and
surrounding areas. Radar and local reports indicate over 6 inches
of rain have fallen. Most of this has occurred in just the past 8
hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Pleasant, Big Rapids, Howard City, Shepherd, Edmore,
Lakeview, Morley, Mecosta, Rosebush, Barryton, Canadian Lakes, Lake
Isabella, Stanwood, Sylvester, amble, Wyman, Delwin, Winn, Rodney
and Six Lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
