... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 215 PM EDT for
Wayne... southwestern Macomb and southeastern Oakland counties...

At 1134 am EDT... Doppler radar continued to show a region ofmoderate
to locally heavy rainfall tracking across the warned area. Radar
estimates and spotter reports indicate upwards of 3 to 4 inches have
fallen in portions of northeast Wayne County... including downtown
Detroit. The excessive runoff will continue to lead to areas of
flooding through the early afternoon hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Warren... Livonia... Troy... Southfield... Taylor... St. Clair
Shores... Novi... Romulus... Grosse Pointe... downtown
Detroit... Canton... Detroit... Sterling Heights... Dearborn... Royal
Oak... Wyandotte... Birmingham... Northville... West Bloomfield and
Westland.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to locally two inches are possible
in the warned area.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small

... Flood Watch in effect through Friday evening...

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of Southeast Michigan... including
the following areas... Genesee... Lapeer... Livingston... Macomb...
   Oakland... Shiawassee... St. Clair... Washtenaw and Wayne.

* Through Friday evening

* a persistent area of showers and thunderstorms has already
resulted in rainfall amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches across
parts of Southeast Michigan. Several more opportunities for rain
may produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall by Friday
evening.

* Urban flooding... especially in the Detroit area... will be
possible. In addition... rapid rises of rivers and creeks already
swollen from recent rainfall may occur.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

1245 PM EDT for northern Washtenaw... Livingston... southern Macomb and
southern Oakland counties...

At 1112 am EDT... Doppler radar showed a persistent region of
moderate to locally heavy rainfall moving across the advised area.
This rainfall will result in some Urban and Small Stream flooding
into the early afternoon hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ann Arbor... Troy... St. Clair Shores... Pontiac... Novi... Mount
Clemens... Hartland... Howell... Brighton... Milford... Dexter... fowlervil
le... Pinckney... Canton... Sterling Heights... Hamburg... South
