... Lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Saturday...

Hazardous weather...

* a band of heavy lake effect snow will move into the area early
   this morning. Behind this band... moderate to heavy lake effect
   snow will continue into Saturday morning.

* Northwest winds gusting as high as 30 mph will lead to blowing and
   drifting snow into tonight... especially near Lake Superior.

* Expect snowfall today of 4 to 8 inches. The location of the
   greatest snowfall amounts will depend on where the strongest lake
   effect snow bands develop. Another 3 to 8 inches is expected
   tonight... greatest near and west of Munising. The lake effect snow
   will continue Friday and Friday night with several inches of
   additional accumulation expected.

Impacts...

* roads will quickly become snow covered and slippery as the band of
   heavy snow moves in early this morning.

* Moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow will reduce visibilities.
   The lowest visibilities... less than one-half mile at times... will
   occur today into Friday morning.
