... Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
following areas, in central Michigan, Gratiot, Isabella,
Mecosta, and Montcalm. In south central Michigan, Clinton,
Eaton, and Ionia. In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry,
Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central
Michigan, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.

* Through Monday morning

* periods of rain with embedded thunderstorms will continue into
mid morning Monday. Many areas have already seen around an inch
or rain. Another 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected bringing
storm total rainfalls of 2 to 3 inches. Locally higher amounts
cannot be ruled out where thunderstorms persist.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

the Grand River near Comstock Park
* from Tuesday evening to Saturday afternoon.
* At 4:45 PM Saturday the stage was 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast, flood stage may be reached by Tuesday before midnight.
The river is forecast to reach a maximum stage of 12.5 feet by
Wednesday evening.
* Impact, at 13.0 feet... abrigador trail is underwater and minor
flooding of homes occurs along abrigador trail and Willow drive.

* flood advisory for
the Rogue River below Rockford.
* Until late Wednesday night.
* At 10 am Sunday the stage was 5.3 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 7.8 feet by Tuesday morning.
* Impact, at 8.0 feet... expect minor flooding of homes upstream of
Rockford.

* Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 13.0 feet by Thursday
morning.
* Impact, at 15.0 feet... expect minor flooding of commercial
buildings.
