Issued: 8:13 AM CST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST /noon CST/
this afternoon...

Hazardous weather:

* dense fog will continue through the morning. The fog has become
more patchy in the last few hours... especially over south
central Upper Michigan. Visibility will be lower than one-
   quarter mile in some areas.

Impacts:

* travel will be hazardous due to low visibility. Use your low
   beam headlights when driving.

* The fog freezing on untreated surfaces may result in black
   ice and slippery travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions:

* a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile.

* Prepare, plan, and stay informed. Visit www.Weather.Gov/MQT
