... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of western Upper Michigan, including the following
areas, Gogebic, Keweenaw, northern Houghton, Ontonagon, and
southern Houghton.

* Through Monday afternoon.

* Additional showers and thunderstorms expected tonight and
intermittently through Monday afternoon. These storms will

near the area. This could lead to an additional 1 to 3 inches of
rainfall with locally higher amounts possible near stronger
thunderstorms.

* Many locations have already received rainfall amounts of 2 to 5

with water or washed out during periods of heavy rainfall,
especially in Houghton County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
