... Coastal flood advisory in effect from 10 PM this evening to
1 am EDT Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a coastal flood
advisory... which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 am EDT
Wednesday.

* Location... the New Hampshire seacoast and the beaches of
southwest Maine to the south of Portland.

* Coastal flooding... the combination of high astronomical tides
and an onshore wind will create a threat for splash over and
beach erosion near the time of high tide tonight.

* Timing... near the time of high tide tonight.

* Impacts... the potential exists for splash over and beach
erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
