... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am this morning
to 1 PM EST Wednesday...

* locations... portions of the Central Highlands... upper Penobscot
valley... interior downeast... including the greater Bangor
region.

* Hazard types... snow..sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Ice accumulations... from one quarter to a half an inch.

* Timing... this morning through Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... moderate to high. Expect very hazardous conditions.
Snow... sleet and a layer of ice will produce dangerous
conditions. Ice may down a few trees and cause branches to snap
with power outages possible.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

* Visibilities... one quarter to one half mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected. Strong winds are also possible.
This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
