... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST this

* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches... along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Timing... a mixture of snow... sleet... and freezing rain will
continue today... with temperatures eventually rising to near
freezing later this evening.

* Impacts... significant amounts of wintry precipitation will
lead to slippery roads and hazardous travel conditions. Power
outages possible due to ice on branches and power lines.

* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

* winds... northeast 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 50 kt.

* Seas... 18 to 23 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Storm Warning means winds of 48 to 63 knots are imminent or
occuring. Recreational boaters should remain in port... or take
shelter until winds and waves subside. Commercial vessels should
prepare for very strong winds and dangerous sea conditions... and
consider remaining in port or taking shelter in port until winds
and waves subside.
