* until 245 am EDT

* at 158 am EDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Easton to 6 miles southwest of Oxford to near
Flag Harbor... moving east at 30 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs... siding... and trees.

... Heat advisory remains in effect from noon to 8 PM EDT Monday...

* areas affected: central Virginia... the Northern Neck... and the
Eastern Shore.

* Heat index values: 105 to 110.

* Timing: Monday afternoon through early evening.

* Impacts: prolonged exposure or any strenuous activity may lead
to heat related illnesses that require immediate medical
attention.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay in the shade if possible... and check up on relatives
and neighbors.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

To reduce risk during outdoor work... the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency - call 9 1 1.

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect Dorchester County...

At 145 am EDT... radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Skipton to 7 miles south of Tilghman
Island to Prince Frederick. Movement was southeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph... half inch hail... frequent
lightning and heavy downpours are possible with these storms.

If these storms hold together, they will be near... University of
Maryland center for environmental studies around 205 am EDT.
Cambridge and Taylors Island around 210 am EDT. Secretary around 220
am EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Church Creek...
Woolford... Honga... Madison... Taylors Island... Bucktown... East New
Market... Hudson... Linkwood and Lloyds.

Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs... small or weakened trees...
and blowing around trash cans... potted plants... lawn furniture and
other light outdoor objects.

Motorists should use extra caution in the vicinity of these storms.
Be prepared for rapid changes in weather and Road conditions. Heavy
rain could cause ponding of water on roads... and possible minor
