southeastern Rowan County in east central Kentucky...

* until 400 PM EDT

* at 1252 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated torrential rainfall due
to thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding
in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paintsville... West Liberty... Jackson... Salyersville... Sandy Hook...
Frenchburg... Campton... Wellington...
including campsites in the Indian Creek area of the Daniel Boone
National Forest.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Kentucky... northeast Kentucky... south
central Kentucky and southeast Kentucky... including the
following areas... in east central Kentucky... Bath... Elliott...
Estill... Fleming... Menifee... Montgomery... Powell and Rowan. In
northeast Kentucky... Johnson and Martin. In south central
Kentucky... Laurel... McCreary... Pulaski... Rockcastle... Wayne and
Whitley. In southeast Kentucky... Bell... Breathitt... Clay...
Floyd... Harlan... Jackson... Knott... Knox... Lee... Leslie...
Letcher... Magoffin... Morgan... Owsley... Perry... Pike and Wolfe.

* Through Friday morning

* repeated rounds of thunderstorms with torrential downpours are
expected as a very moist airmass remains in place across the
area. This will bring a threat for heavy rainfall... which could
result in localized flash flooding.

to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
