southern Cheyenne County in northwestern Kansas...
Thomas County in northwestern Kansas...
southwestern Rawlins County in northwestern Kansas...
Sherman County in northwestern Kansas...

* until 1030 am MDT Saturday/1130 am CDT Saturday/

* at 131 am MDT/231 am CDT/, Doppler radar indicated slow moving
thunderstorms produced heavy rain Friday evening and early
Saturday morning which will cause flooding primarily across rural
parts of the area. Radar estimates show up to 4 inches of rain may
have fallen for some locations.

Colby, Goodland, Burlington, Stratton, Brewster, Seibert and
Kanorado.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 65.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
