The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* flood advisory for...
southern Ripley County in southeastern Indiana...
central Dearborn County in southeastern Indiana...

* until 345 am EDT Saturday.

* At 943 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain were
producing between 1 to 1.5 inches of rain in an hour with
additional heavy rain expected.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Aurora, bright, Hidden Valley, Versailles,
Milan, Dillsboro, Moores Hill, Guilford, Wilmington, Manchester,
Holton, Mount Sinai, Rexville, Cold Springs, Benham, New Marion,
Versailles lake and Olean.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky, and
southwest Ohio, including the following areas, in southeast
Indiana, Dearborn, Franklin in, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland.
In northern Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll,
Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Mason, Owen, Pendleton, and
Robertson. In southwest Ohio, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont,
Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren.

* Through Saturday morning

* a warm front will lift slowly north across the region through
tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will move across the area
tonight into Saturday morning. Some storms will be capable of
producing very heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
can be expected with locally higher amounts possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.

* until 1245 am EDT.

* At 841 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain over
the advisory area. A quick inch of rain has occurred across
portions of the advisory area with additional rain expected.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Batesville, bright, Osgood, Logan, Sunman, St. Leon, Holton,
Napoleon, Millhousen, Dover, Weisburg, Ballstown, Penntown,
Interstate 74 at State Route 101, Interstate 74 at US Route 52, Otter
Village, Lawrenceville, New Alsace and Huntersville.
