Flood Warning
Issued: 2:41 PM EST Feb. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the East Fork White River near Rivervale.
* From Saturday morning to Saturday March 02.
* At 1:30 PM Friday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday morning and continue
to rise to near 22.7 feet by Monday afternoon. It will fall below
flood stage by Friday March 01.
* At 22.0 feet... a few local County roads begin to flood and are
impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage and
Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork of the
White River are threatened by high water, and some are closed.
Flooding of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

... Strong winds will impact the area Sunday...

In the wake of a cold frontal passage Saturday evening... an
extended period of strong winds are likely to impact southern
portions of central Indiana throughout the day Sunday and into
Sunday evening. Sustained winds at 25 to 35 mph with gusts peaking
at 45 to 50 mph are possible... especially Sunday morning into the
early afternoon.

The winds plus the saturated ground could result in a few trees
being knocked down. Power outages are possible. Loose objects
will be blown around. Driving will become difficult for high
profile vehicles... especially on north-south roads. Use extra
caution on Sunday.
