* Flash Flood Warning for...
Franklin County in southeastern Indiana...
northern Ripley County in southeastern Indiana...
Dearborn County in southeastern Indiana...

* until 430 am EDT.

* At 129 am EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy
rain had fallen across the warned area. Heavy rain continues to
fall with another 1 to 2 inches possible in the next several
hours. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash
flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Batesville, Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Brookville, bright, Hidden
Valley, Milan, Osgood, Oldenburg, Moores Hill, Lake Santee,
Guilford, Logan, Manchester, Sunman, Metamora, St. Leon, West
Harrison, Napoleon and Cedar Grove.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect until noon EDT today...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of Indiana, northern Kentucky, and Ohio, including
the following areas, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette in,
Franklin in, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union in, and Wayne.
In northern Kentucky, Boone, Campbell, and Kenton. In Ohio,
Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton,
Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene,
Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison,
Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Ross, Shelby,
Union OH, and Warren.

* Until noon EDT today

* showers and thunderstorms will move across the area through the
morning hours. Some locations could have rain repeatedly move
across the same area which may result in high rainfall amounts
and thus potentially lead to flash flooding.

* Street flooding and runoff will cause area rivers and streams
to rise, resulting in the potential for some river flooding as
well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.

* At 108 am EDT, radar indicated an area of training showers
producing very heavy rain over the advisory area. Rainfall since
Saturday afternoon has ranged from 1 to 3 inches, with another 1
to 2 inches possible over the next several hours.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Cincinnati, Hamilton, Fairfield, Covington, Florence, Norwood, Forest
Park, Erlanger, Fort Thomas, Newport, Sharonville, Blue Ash,
Loveland, Springdale, reading, Montgomery, Harrison, North College
Hill, Madeira and Edgewood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
