Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:29 AM CST Dec. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM CST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM CST Sunday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in
effect.

* Timing... snow will begin Saturday evening and continue into
Sunday evening.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches over a long duration. The
higher accumulations are expected over far northwest Illinois
near Highway 20.

* Wind... southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the mid 20s today and tonight... with lower 30s
Sunday.

* Impacts... moderate snowfall will create slippery travel
conditions over the area... and will reduce visibility to under
1 mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
