the Rock River near Joslin
* until further notice.
* At 9:45 am Friday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage Monday. Continue rising to
13.9 feet Wednesday.
* This forecast is based on forecast rainfall in combination with
snowmelt. Consequently there is limited confidence in the river
reaching flood stage.

Sunday evening...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a high
wind watch, which is in effect from late Saturday night through
Sunday evening.

* Winds... west to northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 55
mph. Isolated higher gusts are possible.

* Timing... Saturday night through Sunday evening.

* Impacts... travel will be difficult, especially on north-south
roads. Lightweight outdoor items will be blown around and tree
damage and power outages will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for sustained
winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of 58 mph or stronger to
occur. Monitor the latest forecast for updated information.
