... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 7 PM CDT this evening through
Thursday morning...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of Illinois and east
central Iowa... including the following areas... in Illinois...
Bureau... Henry IL... Putnam... Rock Island and Whiteside. In
east central Iowa... Cedar... Johnson... Muscatine and Scott.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Thursday morning

* the combination of locally heavy rainfall earlier this morning
acting as a primer... and more thunderstorms developing by
tonight with heavy rainfall of 1 to 4 inches possible... may lead
to flash flooding.

* Flash flooding is possible along creeks... low lying areas...
and urban areas tonight where heavy rainfall occurs. Water may
also cover roads along with rapid rises on local streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible.
Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.
