Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 12:20 PM MDT May. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
rain and snowmelt in...
Custer County in central Idaho...
Blaine County in central Idaho...
northwestern Butte County in southeastern Idaho...

* until 100 PM MDT Monday

* river flows will fluctuate with warming temperatures the next few
days. A warming trend will begin Saturday and continue into next
week. A good deal of snow remains in the mountains that is yet to
melt and run off. Emergency management officials continue to
report flood problems along the Big Wood River near Hailey and
Warm Springs. Flooding is occurring along the big Lost River from
Howell ranch to MacKay Reservoir. Additional minor flooding is
occurring from Leslie to the Darlington flats, and along Antelope
Creek from grouse toward Darlington. Water levels have increased
on Valley Creek at Stanley where minor flooding is occurring as
well. Many back country roads may still be inundated with water or
washed out and travel in those areas is not advised.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
