Issued: 1:30 PM MST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MST Monday...

* impacts... moderate to heavy snowfall with blowing and drifting
snow will accumulate on roadways and may reduce visibility,
making travel difficult. Mountain passes may become difficult
to travel.

* Timing... 6 PM MST today through 6 PM MST Monday.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 7 in valleys and 7 to 12 inches in
the mountains.

* Confidence... moderate confidence regarding the onset of snow.
Confidence is moderate to low regarding snowfall amounts.

* Locations... Monida Pass, St. Anthony, Ashton, Ashton Hill,
Island park, Targhee Pass, Driggs, Victor and Pine Creek Pass.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means for northern areas. Low
confidence for southern areas because of snow levels. Most
precipitation near Burley could end up as rain. That periods of moderate
to heavy snow along with blowing snow will cause travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.
