Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 2:32 PM MST Dec. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

A strong push of Pacific moisture will stream into the area
starting around mid-day Thursday, and continuing into Saturday.
Expect 2 to 4 inches of snow Thursday through Friday. Areas along
interstates 84 and 86 including the Pocatello region may see
reduced amounts due to warmer southerly winds. Snow will
likely change over to rain Friday afternoon, and there may be some
isolated areas of freezing rain as the transition occurs. Accumulations
through the snake plain after this transition through Saturday will
likely be less than 2 inches, and especially north of Pocatello.
Continue to monitor forecasts as we head into the latter half of
the week, as travel could be tricky through east Idaho depending
on when and where you are headed.
