Winter Storm Watch
Issued: 4:40 AM MST Feb. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday evening through
Tuesday evening...

* what... periods of moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow are
possible. Total, 3 day snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet are
expected, with localized higher amounts in the mountains above
pass level.

* Where... the Idaho central mountains west of Challis and MacKay,
including but not limited to Ketchum, Sun Valley, Galena Summit,
Stanley, Banner Summit, and Clayton.

* When... from Saturday evening through Tuesday evening.

* Impacts... difficult travel conditions are expected due to snow
covered and slippery roads and reduced visibility. Southwest
winds of 20 to 30 mph gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas
of blowing and drifting snow, especially Sunday and Sunday
night.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
