Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 1:01 PM MDT Mar. 24, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* the Raft River region, south Central Highlands, and Blackfoot
Mountains, including but not limited to Malta, Rockland,
Holbrook, Malad, Franklin, Preston, McCammon, Inkom, Lava Hot
Springs, Bancroft, Grace, and Soda Springs.

* Until 6 PM MDT this evening

* rain and snow showers currently tracking through the watch area
are forecast to bring one tenth to three tenths of an inch of
liquid equivalent. Runoff due to falling precipitation and snow
melt is expected.

* Ponding of water in low lying areas, sheet and field flooding,
and basement flooding will remain possible. Water may encroach
onto some roads. In addition, small streams and creeks may
reach bankfull, and rises are likely on larger rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is the potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should continue to monitor the latest
forecasts and be alert for possible flood advisories or flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

If you observe flooding, please report your observations to the
National Weather Service in Pocatello via phone, E-mail,
facebook, or twitter, when you can do so safely.
