Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 2:09 PM MST Dec. 3, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 2 PM Sunday to 5 PM MST

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect from
2 PM Sunday to 5 PM MST Monday. The Winter Storm Watch is no
longer in effect.

* Impacts... snow will produce difficult driving conditions. Areas
of blowing snow may significantly reduce visibilities on
mountain passes and roadways.

* Timing... snow will develop Sunday afternoon and continue through
early Monday. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday evening and
overnight. Gusty winds and areas of blowing snow will develop
Sunday night and continue into Monday.

* Snow accumulations... .4 to 8 inches. Areas above 7000 ft in The
Bear river range may see 8 to 12 inches.

* Locations... Montpelier... emigration Summit... Georgetown
Summit... Geneva Summit.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds and reduced visibility in
blowing snow are also possible. This will make travel very
hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra
