Issued: 10:51 AM CST Dec. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM CST
Sunday...

* short term trends... a band of light to moderate snowfall will
move from west to east across the area through this afternoon.
Expect accumulations of 1 to 3 inches during this time and for
roadways to become quickly snow covered and hazardous.

* Storm total snow accumulations... total accumulations for the
event will range from 2 to 4 inches south of Highway 20 and 4 to
8 inches to the north. Locally higher accumulations may occur.

* Winds/visibility... southeast winds will be around 15 mph gusts
near 25 mph overnight. Visibilities will be reduced to less than
one half mile at times.

* Impacts... the primary impacts will be very hazardous travel
conditions due to reduced visibility and snow covered and icy
roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while
driving.
