Special Statement
Issued: 11:47 PM CST Dec. 3, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Roads becoming slick from west central into northeast Iowa...

The first appreciable snow of the season continues to accumulate
light snow on many roads from Atlantic and Denison... northeast
toward Forest City... Webster City and Ames. Many roads will be
snow or slush covered with slick conditions into the early morning
hours... especially on bridges and overpasses. An inch or two may
accumulate by daybreak... especially on vegetation where less
melting occurs.

Motorists are urged to slow down... drive defensively and exercise
caution overnight as many will be unaccustomed to winter driving
conditions.
