The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of north central Iowa and
northeast Iowa, including the following areas, in north
central Iowa, Butler. In northeast Iowa, Bremer.

* Through Saturday morning

* additional rainfall is expected throughout today into tonight,
which may lead to flash flooding.

* Typically urban flood-prone locations may flood, creating
potentially hazardous travel conditions and the potential for
Road closures.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
