The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Illinois... southeast Iowa
and northeast Missouri... including the following areas... in
Illinois... Hancock... Henderson... McDonough... Mercer and
Warren. In southeast Iowa... Des Moines... Henry IA...
Jefferson... Keokuk... Lee... Louisa... Van Buren and Washington.
In northeast Missouri... Clark and Scotland.

* From this evening through Thursday morning

* the combination of locally heavy rainfall this morning acting as
a primer... and more thunderstorms developing by tonight with
heavy rainfall of 1 to 4 inches possible... may lead to flash
flooding.

* Flash flooding is possible along creeks, low lying areas, and
urban areas tonight where heavy rainfall occurs. Water may also
cover roads along with rapid rises on local streams.
