The Flood Warning continues for
the Cedar River near Conesville.
* Until Thursday morning.
* At 9:00 PM Monday the stage was 13.0 feet... and rising.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage late this evening... and
continue rising to 13.4 feet Tuesday. Fall below flood stage
Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 13.5 feet... water affects yards and access roads of
residences along Iowa Highway 22. Water affects the lowest
sections of campgrounds just north of I-80 along the river and the
lowest sections of Jack shuger Memorial Park in Moscow. Water is
also on 152nd street north of County Road f70.

* Forecast... rise above flood stage Saturday... and continue rising to
16.8 feet Monday morning.
* This forecast is based on routed flow from upstream in combination
with forecast rainfall. Consequently there is limited confidence
in the river reaching flood stage.

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect northern Henry...
Louisa... southeastern Washington and southwestern Muscatine counties
until 345 am CST...

At 253 am CST, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Ainsworth to near Olds. Movement was
east at 50 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and dime size hail is likely with this
line of storms.

Locations impacted include...
Muscatine, Washington, Wapello, Columbus Junction, Winfield,
Fruitland, Wayland, Ainsworth, Grandview, Conesville, Columbus City,
Letts, Crawfordsville, Olds, Cotter, Wyman, Fredonia, Cranston,
Washington Airport and Haskins.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
