Blizzard Warning
Issued: 10:37 AM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Saturday...

* a mix of light freezing rain and snow will switch to all snow
through the afternoon and evening.

* Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause whiteout conditions
at times, especially as snow begins again this afternoon.

* Additional snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected this
afternoon through tonight.

* Travel will remain very difficult to impossible, including during
the evening commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions. Making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest Road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
